That pretty much describes how shopping works for most
people most of the time, regardless of product or venue.

Someone who knows "nothing about" any software can,
with this kind of pre-install, at least learn that
computer does not necessarily mean windows.  Learning
that they have choices might then lead them to choose
a more popular and/or flexible distribution.

I looked at walmart.com today and, according to walmart.com,
the "Everex TC2502 Green GPC" is $199 and in stock in Deland:
