Because I can see my disk from WINDOWS system where I have Partition Magic and when turned on grubs offers me the option of starting Windows, Suse10.1 or Suse 10.2.
What I would like to do is wipe out Suse 10.1 and 10.2, resize windows and install Suse 10.2. How can I wipe out the linux operating systems yet leave ext3 formatting intact?

How do you know for certain that it didn't replace it? Did you check
with a disk management tool (e.g. fdisk)?
