I did a little calculation on a laptop like what you'd get at Costco for
$900.00:
Carrying Case None
- Extra Battery None
- Laptop Memory 2GB DDR2 667
- Notebook HDD 100GB 5400RPM
- Operating System SuSE Linux 10.2 Preloaded
- Optical Drive DVDRW
- Processor Core 2 Duo T7200 2.00GHz
$1,147.00
This is by far the smallest Linux-compatibility premium I've seen to date.
Most Linux laptop vendors charge upwards of $1600 for the same thing. At
$1.147, this might be a good choice.
