Bank of America had a notice during my account setup that indicated my browser
was not supported (and listed a couple of supported browsers).

I called and spoke to a Tech Support person, and got a very reasonable
response. He told me that their web site was written to include all browsers
and OS's to the extent possible and that the word 'support' refers to getting
telephone assistance with questions or problems - not what you are required
to use.

BOA's tech support people can't help you troubleshoot what they haven't been
trained for, or what they don't have available to test with.

After completing the setup, I never saw another of the annoying warnings.
That all seemed reasonable to me.

This probably isn't the case with all of the vendors you mentioned, but it's
worth checking with them to see exactly what their position is, and ask for
alternatives if they don't give a satisfactory response.
