1. checked the media? Tried a new copy?
2. turned off the 'Virus Protection' that, in Award BIOS is the first
item on the second screen.
3. Boot order is CDrom, Floppy, HDD0?

Pat, I have had 'stupid' attacks, like with two VIA chipped units that
had trouble with the mouse
and I tried a PS2 Optical, and a USB ball mouse, and was pulling out my
hair until I changed to a functional mouse!
The bad ones wouldn't let in a new USB mouse, either, as long as one of
them were connected!

Those two had gone bad. That can happen with media, also! It can 'go
bad'!
