German Supreme Court nullified the Microsoft FAT 'patent' as so very 
obviously technics available to any programmer.

Then, also, " The German department of State has declared that their 
business case for their complete migration away from Windows towards 
Linux and other FOSS is based on SECURITY, RELIABILITY and COST reasons. " 

Lived in Germany 5.5 years.  An educated, competent, and intelligent 
country.
