[Leaplist] Google launches google desktop search bar for Linux

is this welcome in the linux community?  from what little i know about 
the google search tool for MS it has some spyware or other malware built 
into it, but Linux does NOT have a good GUI search tool and the google 
search tool is about as close to the Apple spot light that I have seen.
