[Leaplist] Daisy chaining network switches

I've googled this question several different ways and have not found a
good answer.  Do any of the network gurus on the list know how many
switches can be daisy chained together before the network starts having
problems?  Are the rules for changing 10/100 switches different than
1000 switches?
