Perhaps he bought the Linksys box that the BIOS, though running Linux,
doesn't have the feature for Linux kernels to be changed out by the owner.
Another thing that is disliked, even detested, by many people, is that
when we purchase a vehicle or machine, we don't have access to make it
run better, to increase performance a tad, to tweak it so it is secure!
Sometimes I don't tweak a car or router, or my new motorcycle, to take
advantage of the performance enhancements. But, I seriously rebel
against anyone preventing my doing some improvements, adding some
personal touches, to things that I own.
That is why I prefer Open Source GNU/Linux in the first place!
