We have a neighbor who drove his 4 x 4 posts into the underground 2200
volt cables that feed 27 homes. Many are replacing appliances and
wondering why...
He is a convict, just off of a 15 year sentence, 10 of it probation, and
is immensely stupid. Seminole County has cited him, though he pulled a
fence permit and was notified to observe all 'setbacks', he did not call
Sunshine, and actually drove his post hole digger into the cables twice,
causing 4 hours of outages, Monday, July 2, 2007.
He has trespassed 8 feet onto the street, and easement, owned by the
HOA, held in common by 276 home titled owners. We are suing, and will
end up putting his house on the Sheriffs auction...
Meanwhile, we are plagued by outages, brownouts, sags, as five sub
transformers drop out, each time, one will trigger the rest on this
feedline...
It only takes one idiot to screw it up for the whole community.
