I found some config options, and the 3D hardware acceleration was 
checked 'ON'.  I turned on Beryl, and stuff's flying and bending all over my 
screen - very cool!

So it may be that 3d accel is working, but just not as fast as Chris is 
getting with his 7500.

Now I'm curious what kind of numbers Phil gets with glxgears and no 
acceleration?
