I have never been able to boot any of the *ubuntu distros on any of the Dell 
Optiplex line of computers in my collection. On Dell's other lines, yes, as 
well as other brands, but not the Optiplex. Since my company uses a lot of 
this line, this is a definite dealbreaker in convincing the higher-ups to try 
it out. I'd be scared for any but the most geekish of them to try out even 
RedHat, much less Slackware or a BSD...
