Something not too many folks are aware of is that Google also is
offering a "Google For Domains" as another free service. I've been
playing around with it with one of my (too many) 'extra' domains. You
buy a domain, jump though a few hoops to prove that you own it, and then
you can have 50 (or is it 100?) e-mail accounts for free. Each account
is up to around 2.8G I believe. They also have a web hosting service
with a free webpage 'maker'. Of course, all of this is
"@yourdomain.com", not gmail.com or whatever else.
The nice thing is you get your domain & all the anti-spam features gmail
comes with. You get some of the fun toys (like chat/IM, if you like).
You also get all of the indexing features as well... which might not be
such a good thing.
But it might be worth considering.
