Project Gutenberg periodically generates CD and DVD image files (ISO
files) containing books from the collection. When downloaded, they can
be used to make a CD or DVD using a CD or DVD writer. Please *copy and
give away* these CDs and DVDs! Keep one for yourself, and give one to a
friend ... or a library ... or a school.

These CD and DVD compilations are copyrighted and licensed under the
Creative Commons <http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/1.0/>

Over 20,000 FREE books, literary works, are now catalogued:

Would you like a CD (600 works) or a DVD (17,000 works)?

If you cannot download and burn, then, you can order direct. Also, some
of us would make you one.
Let me know. Have the DVD and CD iso's.

These are usually in ascii.txt format, readable in *BSD and GNU/Linux,
possibly other OSes like OS/2 and BeOS. YMMV.

Most are copyright free, in the USA, having expired because they are
over 80 years old. The DVD is alleged to contain a few works whose
copyright is alleged to still be in force, but, because there is no
profit involved, and their distribution being like in a library, under
the terms of the PG and Creative Commons, are permitted full distribution.
