This may be the key:
/etc/init.d/dbus start
Starting D-BUS daemon start proc: signal cached /usr/bin/dbus-daemon:
Segmentation fault
Do you have a way to fix?

Try:
ps ax|grep dbus
If the dbus-daemon isn't running then:
/etc/init.d/dbus start
If that allows the power manager to start then great. To start dbus on
boot type:
insserv dbus
I can't find the string "Power Manager" in /etc/init.d so I'll guess
that its the kpowersave daemon in KDE.
