The final iteration of Damn Small Linux 3.2 was released by the
U.S.-based project team on Jan. 18. Version 3.2 squeezes a 2.4.26 kernel
and the Fluxbox window manager in a compact, 49.7 MB package.

Damn Small Linux is a thumb-drive-sized mini desktop Linux distro that,
despite its minuscule size, strives to be functional and easy-to-use.

Key new features and changes that made it through the process, as listed
by the project team, include:

    * Updated murgaLua to v0.3
    * Updated SQLite to v3.3.10
    * Updated Broadcomm 10/100 module b44.o
    * Added wpasupplicant for wireless security
    * New Mouse Config Lua GUI
    * Added default tone generator for XMMS
    * Added Resolution Selection to Rdesktop.lua
    * Updated madwifi-ng modules

<http://www.desktoplinux.com/news/NS8148050825.html> about the 3.2 RC1
release for previously implemented new features and changes associated
with version 3.2.

DSL boasts a nearly complete desktop that includes XMMS (MP3, and MPEG),
an FTP client, a links-hacked web browser, spreadsheet, email,
spellcheck (US English), a word processor, three editors (Nedit, nVi,
Zile [emacs clone]), Naim (AIM, ICQ, IRC), SSH/SCP server and client, a
web server, calculator, and USB support. It soon will have PCMCIA
support, as well, the team said.
