first question. what repositories did you add to the mix in order to  
add the ham radio programs?

second question (and this is for anybody on the list, not just tom.)  
if the repository doesn't already have binary packages for other  
architectures (i.e. powerpc) then i'll have to grab source packages  
and build my own binary packages from those. does anybody know how to  
do this under debian/ubuntu? (i.e. what's the debian equivalent of  
"rpmbuild --rebuild blah.src.rpm")
