[Leaplist] do you know of any cheapo pre-amps for old computer & speakers?

Dear LEAPers,

Thanks for your kindness I have installed the computers given to me at the
last installfest for all of my three kids (they are in *total* bliss!!).  I
also connected some old speakers so they could play educational games and
listen to some music.  Alas, all my speakers are old and are not powered so
the resulting sound output is barely audible at full blast.  I think the
best way to get some sound of of them would be to put some cheapo preamps
between the speakers and the computers.  Is there such thing out there as a
small and *cheap* preamp for PC speakers out there?
