[Leaplist] Diffrences between Mepis 6.5 Vs. Mepis 7.0

Folks,

Is it due to processors  in my two notebooks that I see Mepis 7.0 not so desirable?  After all what is the bigger and/or better in Mepis 7.0?

What is bigger and/or better in Mepis7.0 compared with Mepis 6.5? I have Mepis 6.5 on my wife's notebook that has Athlon 64 processor, and that works flawlessly. My notebook with Turian 64 has mepis 7.0 that hangs during shutdown and goes in a tailspining loop during startup?
