Are there any wifi  providers avail ..... up in Colorado and mountain
country there are folks who've taken
technology into their own hands and done wifi shots of over 50 miles....
Not saying you could do that..but you'd be surprised at what is possible...
I never did find out if you where a Ham ...Amateur Radio Operator....
you know Hams aren't limited to the power levels and limitations mere
mortals are....
