By any chance do you have an xbox 360 or xbox live?  I have a neighbor that 
found out his xbox was contributing to his wireless outages because the xbox 
randomly switches channels across the 2.4 gigahertz range and was interfering 
with his connectivity.  Seems that there is a proprietary standard that MS is 
using in their xbox wireless adapter.
