if it's "marketing analysis", then they're using MY browsing habits
without my permission or consent, and without compensating me for MY
data. my browsing habits are none of their business.
if it's government surveillance, then they (the government and/or
brighthouse) are interfering with my privacy. again, my browsing
habits are none of their business.
and whether it's brighthouse or the government, i'm not paying them to
keep tabs on me. if it's brighthouse, i pay them to provide
connectivity to the internet. if it's the government, i'm paying them
to "form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic
tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general
welfare, and ensure the blessings of liberty." nowhere in there does
it say they're supposed to be keeping track of what i'm doing- they
seem to forget who's the boss here. (hint: it's "we the people" who
are the boss.)
