Similar stories are legion, and I wondered that they could still be in
business, after having pissed off half the population around their stores!
Dismal customer service, failure to honor rebates, re-boxing broken
products to sell, holding sales for which there was no merchandise, are
only some of the 'great marketing' done at CompUSA.
Though not prosecuted under the RICO Act, a few state Prosecutors did
charge them and successfully prosecute on behalf of their consumers.
