Hi Patrick,

If your distro includes the Vim editor, I suggest you also include
VimOutliner. VimOutliner is a keyboard friendly, ultra fast outline processor
with the following professional outlining features:

* Promote/Demote
* Collapse/Expand (tree and whole outline)
* Interoutline links
* Executable lines (view graphics, videos, spreadsheets etc from outline)
* Checkboxes

Debian already has a VimOutliner package. Maybe you could just include that.

VimOutliner is less than one megabyte download. Most of it runs under Vim, so
it's light on memory and CPU. Its utilities are programmed in Perl, Python
and Ruby. There are utilities to convert outlines to OpenOffice, LyX, HTML,
and HTML slides. There is a calendaring app based on VimOutliner.

You can find out more about VimOutliner here:

http://www.vimoutliner.org.

If you have specific questions, ask me, and I'll get them to the right person
to answer.

Thanks

SteveT
