I completely agree. They will find a way to get their ads and product
placements in, and it will become more and more annoying. Kind of
like how "Transformers" was less a movie about robots from outer
space, and more a 2 hour GM commercial.
The more that we try to get things for "free" the more that companies
will ensure that either the quality and quantity of "free" content
goes down, or that they will change the game completely on us.
This will lead to a meditation on the difference between open source
and free software at some point (I knew I could get this thread back
in the right direction!)
