by "linux system in a bank", are you talking about software on your  
linux machine which integrates with a bank's systems? (others have  
answered this already.)

or are you talking about actually going into a bank, as an employee  
or consultant, and installing a linux-based system to provide some  
service to the bank's customers or to the bank itself? (i almost had  
a contract to design and implement a customer web interface for a  
bank in another state, as part of a larger project, but the guy who  
was setting it up had some personal issues and the whole deal ended  
up not happening.)
