Guys, I found an earlier article where Lenovo had announced the
production of pre-loaded Linux systems for sale to individual users, and
has been doing their marketing in Asia, ever since!

That makes them first for the MAJOR OEMs.

Yep, Microtel and System76, and WalMart.com have been selling Linux
systems since 1993, possibly earlier, but, are they one of the top 4
major OEMs?

This speaks highly to the actual overthrow of monopolistic abuse by M$,
first proposed by Bill Gates to IBM and Intel, when he proposed they
carve up the market into three segments, in the 1980 talks over his
contract to provide his remake of QDOS (Quick Dirty Operating System).

I remember Hitachi shipping computers in 1998, with Linux and M$ both on
the hard drive, but, M$ forced them to publish that info on the bottom
of the shipping box, and to include the Linux loader on a floppy.
