The snippet of the repo configuration file I posted was exactly
the way someone at livna made it.  I'm not sure why they did
it that way but since it works I didn't asked why.

As to whether those sections' relative order in the
file makes a difference... I have no idea.

As to the order of those individual 'baseurl=' entries,
what I suspected (and still can't prove to myself) seems
to be true according to a faq:
I read /usr/bin/yum and it lead me to

...in which question 13 is relevant.  Part of the answer
there:
"A. yum will get the package from the repository listed first in the
yum.conf file."   --which is /etc/yum.conf by default.
