No way! Best Buy was selling PC's with Microsoft products
pre-installed? Wow, who knew? I'll do you one better:
I'm sure *every* PC sold there has Vista pre-installed.
There's an old saying which describes what you saw:
"The blind leading the blind."
I don't say that to be mean, but to make the point that
the average retail PC purchase involves almost no research
or knowledge by either the salesperson or the customer.
Instead it usually involves a lot of sunshine being blown
into where it doesn't naturally shine.
Please pardon my sarcasm, but neither of those companies
impresses me. Also, more telling than retail sales is the
reluctance of historically "all-Microsoft" IT shops/managers
refusing to move to Vista. When someone's paycheck has been
fed on a steady stream of Microsoft and suddenly that someone
refuses to swallow Vista then you know it must have serious
problems.
