Its bad out there Microsoft wrote the saying there is a "sucker born
every minute". I just spent 4 days off and on with a friend.. he
purchased a new lanovo 3000 N, had to go to newegg as he could not find
one without vista crap on it. bottom line, lanovo screwed up the
default driver installation and his pcimcia network card "T Mobile"
would not come up.. He is still working on this as you know he only
gets a "restore disk".. This works on his other XP machine. His first
call he tells T-Mobile "I just got a new notebook and can't seem to get
your card to work but it worked on my old machine. Their response..
Sorry but Vista is not supported.. hold on says he.. don't jump to
conclusions that I am running Vista.. As the guy apologizes.. for
assuming.. he tells Lee.. we have over 100,000 users down because of
vista.. we fixed it 5 times it was good on all beta stuff, and then the
final release and it doesn't work.. " So their card is manufactured by
Sony Errickson he calls them and gets their driver, it won't install
because of another missing driver.. and it goes on and on.. he is
refusing to purchase a copy of XP, it is leaving for Lenovo tomorrow for
them to fix it.. I know from talking about other vendors that have had
to port to it Vista the grief they have had..

I remember the old "suddenly nothing works" campaign it should be revived

Its nice to be winblows free.. Fred
