my game box has the following specs:
AMD 939 chip 3800+
2G PC3200 ram
Asus A8N-SLI Premium MB
2x Nvidia 7600GS PCI-e SLI configured. i did not check to see if they
enabled SLI as i was not looking for that power when i was testing the
liveCD.
again the only issue i had was the DNS, and that is a supper simple
fix. well kind of had an issue with my monitor as the refresh and hsync
are a bit odd, but like i stated all i needed to do was to edit the boot
command to put in the correct properties for those 2 settings and
configure the res=1280x1024 and poof it ran like a champ.
FYI, i just tested it on a much older system and beryl will not run
without locking up the box.
system specs on the older PC:
Athlon 800Mhz (old slot A)
512M PC110 ram
no clue what MB i have in that thing
Nvidia 5200 128M AGP card
without beryl, it ran smooth. the boot time took for ever (close to
5min), but once it was up it was fast enough. still faster then most
liveCDs i have used. just no access to the accelerator.
