well i tried out the LiveCD.  everything looks great.  it is supper fast 
even for a liveCD, it detected my Nvidia cards, loaded the Nvidia 
drivers and gave me 3D access for beryl right off the bat.

my only issue is for some reason it does not like to resolve URLs 
properly for my hardware.  i checked the /etc/resolv.conf and the 
nameserver was set correctly to my IPCop, i had pulled an IP from the 
DHCP server and i could ssh/https into my IPCop, but i could not resolve 
any URLs.

i think tomorrow or Fri, i may try to install this distro and see if it 
is only the LiveCD that has fits with the DNS.  very slick distro.
