I'm going to agree there.  Every single time they release an update to their
software the file format is locked to that version, so everyone who reads
the same file has to also upgrade.  Also, I'm going to say that they fit the
"unmanaged source" point of Hostageware because their Windows and Mac
software are almost two separate products - you can't directly import the
data from one to the other, you have to export a QIF file which looses all
of the reports, the scheduled transactions, everything but the bare account
and transaction details.
