[Leaplist] more novell stuff -- when Fred only reads half of ? hat I say ...

The simple answer is that Novell can only sign a contract that covers its products and customers, or any IP it owns. It can't do anything for open source in general.

Until the 97% realize that's all Novell can do, the sooner you eliminate the 97% of non-sense speculation and FUD being generated by that 97%.

Here is what it amounts to Bryan. I know for an absolute fact the following:

The UCC in this country is broken at it basic levels. Here I am taling
Contract Law.. Nothing written in a contract means a hill of beans. What
makes a contract work is not basis of law it the "rule of money power"
whoever has the most rules.

I know for a fact that neither you or I have read the contract, (nor has
anyone outside of the companies) and unless there is a Novell v Microsoft
most likely we never will. I have read conflicting statments from both
sides. Dam they can't even agree what was written just read all of their
statements.

You and I have heard from both sides "The WHYs" of the contract ie what the
contract was executed FOR.

If you expect Me or the other 97% to believe what ether side is saying is
total truth, you are the crazy one.

I don't for one minute believe 10% of what either side said about the
contract. Everything me and you and everyone else is simply speculation.

so go on saying over and over that you understand something you havn't read
go on saying over and over what their intent is.
Time will tell who's opinion is correct..
The current discussion between us is at best a waste of time and energy.

So let me see here.. you think 97% of the community incorrect for NOT
trusiting the statments from either company. That must mean that the 3% you
are in trusts them, or you would not be so quick to advocate.

BTW would you please point me to some of the other3% writings. I have googled
till the cows come home and just can't find it, only your postings. Fred
