They aren't even "professional" or "server" ones.  Tyan made the

Actually, you've regularly advocated ViA and "desktop" mainboards
(including the "consumer" rated Intel products) as "server" solutions
on this list (and others).

I don't point these things out to embarrass or otherwise make an
issue other than to prevent people from creating headaches for
themselves.  I know my stuff comes off as a "my way dammmit"
attitude, but "a few bucks more" pays _big_returns_ if it just saves
you 1-2 hours.

Especially when you are an IT professional billing a client.  I.e., I
consider it unethical to save the client $100 on a "desktop"
mainboard when that choice is going to result in a "cost" to them,
let alone I get to bill several more hours in support, optimization,
etc...

Makes me want to bit-smack the hell out of other Linux consultants
when I see it.
