I'm researching recommendations for 'TV Top' based Linux distros. Am
hoping to free my parents from MSN-TV, so the system will have to boot
into a MythTV/FREEVO type menu system. I'd use MythTV and/or Freevo
- but they don't support email or web browsing that well. So in a
nutshell, do you have any Linux distro suggestions for an OS that can:
1) have a menuing based GUI simliar to MythTV/windows Media
Center Edition
2) have correct resolution / sizing for s-video
connection to standard TV's (not HD)
3) easily support
web-surfing (one that might attempt resizing/resampling web pictures/pages
so that they are 'somewhat' properly fitted to the a TV resolution would
be GREAT)
4) easily support email
5) be able to play
various media (video, songs, pictures) from email/optical disk/compact
flash/etc
Thanks in advance! - dave
