and if we contact the kubuntu people ahead of time and let them know  
what's going on, they may send us a large batch of kubuntu CD's,  
ready to go. i'm not sure how they would feel about us charging $5  
for them, but it couldn't hurt to ask. if nothing else we can pay for  
the shipping to get them here...

and of course if worse comes to worst, we can always resort to  
burning our own, as we have in the past.

are we also going to do a ham-centric version? has anybody looked,  
was "harv's ham shack" ever updated? if not, i thought somebody here  
was going to make an updated version- i think tom parker was  
threatening to do it but i wouldn't swear to it...
