[Leaplist] Strange symptoms...

Hi Guys.

I have a machine here with the strangest symptoms I've ever
encountered. Read to the end to fully understand my confusion.

The machine is an IBM NetVista, 800MHz Pentium III, 256Mb RAM.

It is running TrixBox 1.2.3 (CentOS, uname reports the kernel as
2.6.9-34.0.2.EL).

The machine keeps randomly rebooting. Sometimes it will stay up for up
to 8 hours, but can reboot within minutes, even with no load. Average
uptime is around 90 mins.

I booted it on Knoppix and the machine was fine (up for several days
before I ended the test).

I booted it back up on TrixBox and it was back to it's rebooting tricks
again.

Yesterday, after it rebooted itself for the 8th time that day, I placed
a Knoppix CD in the drive so that the next time it rebooted it would
boot back on Knoppix.

But, get this, since I placed the Knoppix CD in the drive, the machine
has run fine! Current uptime 19h32m. It's not running Knoppix - it
just has the drive in the CD!

Does anyone have any ideas where to even start trying to troubleshoot
this?

Regards,
Ozz.
