Partition Magic 8.0 (and above) will resize NTFS and moves the fixed
NTFS sectors properly. It's a pretty old piece of software and
typically came on bootable floppies (I know, most new pc's don't even
have floppies any more). If gparted can't handle the task, you may be
able to get a copy of PM 8.0 onto a cd, or temporarily install a floppy.
You can borrow my copy of PM, if you can wait 'til next week. I'm
committed this weekend with out of state relatives. Let me know if that
works for you. I'm in southwest Orlando (don't know your location).
