Actually, we've had in the past something like this. We'd give a free year's 
membership to someone deserving, for showing our mission statement* in 
action. Just like that!, you're a fully paid up member of Leap for the year, 
including voting rights. Patrick was our first recipient. And I once proposed 
that Phil be given a life-time membership, and still believe firmly he 
deserves it. We should get back to it, honestly.

*Leap's mission statement is: "Dedicated to Advocacy, Education, and 
Friendship in the Central Florida Linux Community". Both Patrick and Phil 
have shown this in action on too many occasions even to remember, much less 
list.
